Kazakhstan and Belarus agree on 5,000 additional road transport permits

In an announcement dated 23 October 2026, Kazakhstan’s transport authority reported an agreement to exchange 5,000 additional permits for 2026. The preliminary quota for 2027 is 50,000. An electronic-permit pilot is planned for 2027.

For shippers: confirm the availability of required permits with your carrier before scheduling a journey. The announcement gives no start date for issuing the additional allocation; the agreement does not mean permits are already available.
