Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 720 on 27 October 2026, providing for a temporary ban on apple imports until 1 February 2027. It covers shipments from both EAEU members and third countries under EAEU commodity codes 0808 10 100 0–0808 10 800 8.

Exceptions are provided for:

  • apples in transit through Kyrgyzstan, supported by documents confirming the dispatch date and destination;
  • consignments dispatched to Kyrgyzstan before the resolution takes effect, provided the competent ministry sends customs an official letter confirming the circumstances.

The adoption date is not the restriction’s start date. The resolution takes effect three days after official publication; the ban begins a further three days later. An exact calendar start date was not confirmed in the reviewed announcement.

Before loading, shippers should check the applicable timing and consignment documents with their consignee and customs representative.
